Strawberry Beet Smoothie

Beet is not always a kid’s first choice when it comes to veggies. High in folate, vitamin C and fibre, it’s a worthwhile addition to any family member’s diet. Offering it in its raw natural state – may not work the first time it’s presented. Instead, try this delicious strawberry and beet smoothie blend. Naturally sweet, it can tempt all taste-buds to give beets a try!!

Ingredients

Method


1 banana, frozen
1/2 cup beet, finely grated
1 cup strawberries, frozen
2 Medjool dates
2 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp coconut butter
2 cups cashew milk or milk of choice
1. Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.

Tip:
Serve immediately or store in fridge for up to 24 hours or freeze in popsicle moulds for up to 6 months.
