Wholesome Valentine Chocolate Hearts

Chocolate and Valentine’s Day are synonymous. My little boy loves making these heart-shaped chocolates together and then giving them to me on Valentine’s Day.

Ingredients

Method


1/2 Cup Organic Cocoa Butter, Melted
1/2 Cup Cacao Powder
2-3 Tbsp Raw Honey
1/4 Tsp Vanilla Bean Paste Or 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
Pinch Of Himalayan Rock Salt (Optional)
1. Fill a medium sized pan with 2 cups of water and place over medium heat.
2. Place the cacao butter in a small glass bowl and place in pan. Make sure there is enough water to cover the base of the pan and surround glass bowl.
3. Allow cacao butter to completely melt and then stir in cacao powder, honey, vanilla and salt and mix together until a smooth consistency is reached.
4. Pour a layer of the melted chocolate into the chocolate heart molds (or in any mold of choice) and sprinkle with toppings if desired.
5. Leave to harden in the fridge for 1- 2 hrs and remove from molds.

Tip:
For a quick version, use an organic dark chocolate. Serve after chocolate has set. Store in an airtight container for up to 1 month in fridge or freeze for 4-6 months.
